Optimally combined
VENTAMIC Hybrid system with building mass connectiony

VENTAMIC + the radiant metal ceiling A11-C or SPECTRA M-C are highly efficient ceiling system with integrated supply air and superior acoustic effectiveness. The VENTAMIC hybrid system delivers highly effective ventilation results. The air speed in occupied areas remains extremely low thanks to the Coanda effect.

The supply air jet generates negative pressure in the ceiling cavity, which increases the convective capacity and significantly heightens the heating and cooling effect of the water-based radiant ceiling. Furthermore, this system is using the building mass to store energy temporarily. With this function, the heat-load peaks can be broken down. The system works according to the principle of thermally active buliding systems.
  • In combination with A11-C, SPECTRA M-C
  • Very high heating & cooling capacity
  • Superior sound absorption values (class A)
  • Enhanced energy efficiency thanks to active building mass connection
  • Sound power level Lw: < 35 dB (A)
  • Fresh air intake is silent and draught-free
  • Components can be integrated

Cooling capacity

The cooling capacity corresponds to the amount of energy per second removed from the room via heat radiation and convection. It is determined in accredited climate laboratories in accordance with SN EN 14240.

For comparison: the heat emitted by a person in an office via radiation and convection is approx. 70 – 80 W; the heat emitted by a laptop is approx. 20 – 50 W.

Heating capacity

The heating capacity corresponds to the energy per second added to the room via heat radiation and convection. It is determined in accredited climate laboratories in accordance with SN EN 14037.

For comparison: The heat output of a person in an office via radiation and convection is approx. 70 – 80 W, whilst that of a laptop is approx. 20 – 50 W.

Sound absorption

As the largest unobstructed surface in a room, the ceiling is particularly well suited to sound absorption. The sound absorption class is determined in accordance with EN ISO 11654, based on measurements carried out in accordance with EN ISO 354 in accredited laboratories.

It serves as a parameter for acoustic designers to calculate the effect of a product on a room’s reverberation time.

Carbon footprint

The carbon footprint represents the total CO₂ emissions generated throughout a product’s life cycle (from manufacture through to operation and recycling/disposal).

It is calculated by independent institutes and summarised in an ‘Environmental Product Declaration’ (EPD). Barcol-Air is working specifically to reduce the proportion of high-emission materials such as aluminum and other metals.

By way of comparison: the production of 1 kg of aluminum releases approximately 16 kg of CO₂.
