The A11-S radiant metal ceiling sail system with the AQUILO supply air element and additional acoustic insulation was successfully implemented as part of this impressive new build project.
The selection of this ceiling system was significantly influenced by the existence of an open finned ceiling installed underneath the radiant sails. This combination offers aesthetic benefits and also optimises room air conditioning efficiency. The ceiling elements harmonise perfectly together, creating a modern, well executed space design.
The project faced plenty of challenges, including complex architectural specifications, minimal tolerances and the need to omit edge brackets. The fins were made to measure to facilitate optimal usage of the space. Precise planning and execution were needed to integrate lighting, sensors and other elements into the fins.
Certifications: Minergie-P-Eco, Minergie-A-Eco and SNBS. One especially noteworthy sustainability component is the use of acoustic insulation derived from upcycled disposable plastic bottles.
